Patrón Tequila X ARTMEXICO Corporate Bunting

Patrón Tequila X ARTMEXICO Corporate Bunting

On November 2, 2018, ArtMexico custom papel picado corporate bunting was on display at the Patron X Day of the Dead event. The event celebrated the traditional Mexican holiday Dia de los Muertos, which dates back over 2,000 years and revolves around honouring ancestors from times passed with an altar, celebrations, and gifts. The evening featured custom cocktails and cocktail mixology for guests, DJ Tasty Lopez on the decks, and exclusive installations by Mexican artist Pablo Angel Lugo Martinez.

The Gipsy Shrine girls were there to help transform guests into the La Catrina of their dreams using brightly coloured face paint. Patrón Tequila put in an order for some custom corporate bunting with us to bring authentic Mexican vibes to pair with their original marketing activation. Included in their corporate event decor was an iconic piece by Jose Guadalupe Posada featuring La Calavera Catrina.

Posada’s illustrations were originally brought to life through lithography or engraving and were intended to have satirical motives. La Calavera Catrina and many of his other calaveras were actually commenting on the eagerness that Posada observed of Mexicans to adopt European ways.
